Swimming?

So I'm at a swim meet. (Which means that this is obviously a dream.) I don't remember what happened, except that stuff happened. At one point, I start wandering around the building, into a boiler room whose floor is far below the main floor, making it ideal for a Bond movie.

Anyways, to the part I remember. I'm leaving the building. As I had not been near the pool when it ended, I had a considerable head start on leaving and avoiding the traffic jam. I make it to the door, which approaches a truck dock, except 15-20 feet off the ground, and it's a real door. There's a staircase with wheels attached to the door.

I step onto the stairs, when my momentum causes the entire staircase to move. Afraid to fall between the cracks, I throw myself onto the top of the stairs, pushing it even further. The ground is covered in ice and snow. It's nighttime. The staircase keeps moving until it hits a wall a short distance across from the door, which is part of the same building.

Then at this point, the stairs, likely because of something I did, turn 90 degrees and head out into the parking lot. I'm cruising between the cars, when the bottom of the structure hits a snowbank, causing the top to fall over. I'm at the top, thinking "am I going to die?" I hit the ground, landing on my left arm (between my body and the pavement). I'm pleasantly surprised to learn that my arm isn't broken.

I then turn around to notice a large crowd forming at the door I left behind. As I had taken the stairs, they were stuck. I began to push the stairs back, but before I got there, guys dressed in those orange vests and others had lined up vans below the door, and had formed a rescue chain.

Then I woke up.
